Abstract

    The present study examines the idea of religious extremism which means a mental and intellectual disease that affects societies and causes them to be torn apart. It is based on their division with one another and against the other, and then the conflict with the oppressor takes place and uses the worst means, including religious liquidation and physical killing. This reality lives in societies which has great influence in religious and social bungles, in turns, it closes their eyes to what is happening in the world of development and progress, which aims to ensure the mankind’s happiness, security and safety. On the contrary, extremist religious societies often live a sort of religious and intellectual closure since they cannot see the experiences of others. In other words, they live on hatred of the other and attempt to eliminate those who disagree with them.The deviant and recessive understanding, the abuse of some religious texts in order to attack others, the other trend believes in intellectual and religious pluralism. This trend believes that life is based on diversity. They based their worldview on  many religious texts from the verses of the Holy Quran and the sayings of the prophet, which highly consider prioritize human rights, including man’s the safety and security, to his/her understanding of religious texts. Furthermore, those religious texts are against all the problems that threaten his/her existence and safety, including religious extremism.
