Abstract

This study aimed to detect the psychosocial trends of the newly born mothers towards the treatment of the doctors and the midwives in the hospital institution in Biskra and to detect any statistically significant differences in this according to the variables (type of birth: normal / caesarean, number of births, number of days spent in hospital, state of the newborn: alive / dead, educational level, job). In order to achieve the objectives of the study, we used the descriptive method in its comparative method, and the measure was built on the five-year Likert method to measure the psychosocial trends of the newly born mothers (19 mothers).

 - The newly born mothers have a negative psychosocial attitudes towards the treatment of midwives, and a positive treatment of the doctors in the hospital.

 - There are no statistically significant differences in the psychosocial trends of the newly born mothers towards the treatment of the midwives in the hospital institution due to the variable (type of birth: normal / caesarean). Where there are statistically significant differences in the treatment of the doctors due to the variable of birth type and Caesarean section.

 - There are no statistically significant differences in the psychosocial trends of newly born mothers towards the treatment of the midwives and the doctors due to the variable (number of births, number of days spent in hospital, state of the newborn: alive / dead, educational level, job
