The Relationship between Addiction to Self-Portrait (Selfie) and Body Image in Adolescent Girls in the City of Aleppo

Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal the relationship between addiction to self-portrait and body image among adolescent girls in the city of Aleppo. Their ages ranged between (19-16) years, with a mean (16.8) and a standard deviation (0.642), and a questionnaire was used to take a selfie prepared by Rehab Yahya Ahmed 2019 and a questionnaire for satisfaction with body image prepared by Omar Taj Al-Din 2021, and the results of the research showed that there is a relationship between addiction Self-portrait and body image among adolescent girls, where the correlation coefficient was (0.328_) and there were differences between females of the scientific and literary branches in selfie addiction in favor of females of the literary branch, where the calculated T value reached (2.84), and there are no differences between females of the scientific and literary branch in body image
