Abstract

            This research deals with the rulers of AŜŜure wimen preceded the  King Ŝhamshi- Adad I, who was about (38)  Kings . According to the Assyrian Kings lists it was divided in to (4)  groups :The first group includes (17) Kings ,  ruled Assure and called the  Kings of Tents;  the second group includes (10) Kings, called the ancestors or   grandfathers King,  (Ŝhamshi-Adad I), then  the third and forth group eres one of them includes(6) Kings,then the fourth  group comes (Ŝhamshi-Adad I). for the information of those Kings derived from to principal sources ‘Historical Texts and the Lists of Kings.  For the first group (the Kings of Tents), we got a limit picce of  information about them. While the second group, as information also; remained the third and the fourth groups,we have almtd in formaton about . Form the results of the research, most of the interest of the pre-shamsi-Adad 1 Kings whien showed that the first was that urban aspect,which i the basis of the structure of the state, and we  conclude these Kings interested in foreign military campaigns, but rather focused on the construction of the ashur.
