The Division of Arabic Voiced Sounds

The pioneer scholars of Arabic have studied the outputs of the voiced sounds and the manner of articulation. They tackled these efforts emphasizing the pioneering of the Arabic scholars in comprehending the movement of the speaking organs and their effect on producing of sounds. They recognized that Arab scholars faced difficulties pertaining to their deficient knowledge of the speech organ and the function of the two vocal cords. The long extension sounds like (alef, wow, yaa) took a place in the studies of the orientalists of the Arabic sounds emphasizing that these sounds a special place that is concerned with a type of articulation. They were also concerned with the study of the vowels and the difference between them.
