Abstract

The research aimed to identify: The degree of social interest of the university students. The significance of the statistical differences in social interest according to the gender (male - female) among university students. The degree of psychological compatibility among university students. The significance of the statistical differences in psychological  compatibility according to the gender (male - female) among university students. Knowing if there is a relationship between social interest and psychological compatibility among the members of the sample as a whole. The current research is determined by the students of the University of Kufa (male and female) for the academic year( 2018-2019). After applying the measures and emptying the data and dealing with them statistically, the results showed as follows, that the members of the research sample have social interest as it was also shown that there is no significant difference between male and female in social interest, as well as The results showed that the members of the sample have a psychological compatibility, it also turned out that there is no significant difference between male and female in psychological compatibility, and at the end of the research the researcher recommended that the society provide opportunities to develop social interest through opening courses, seminars, social clubs and a proposal to conduct a study. Of the concept of social interest with other  variables (such as compatibility marital , job satisfaction).
