Social isolation among middle school students

The feeling of isolation is considered a major social problem, and a painful experience that individuals are exposed to at some stage in their lives. isolation appears in all ages of the individual, and all people feel it, but to varying degrees, and in different times, but it reaches its peak in teenage years. Social isolation is a manifestation of negative behaviors in humans which has serious effects on the person's character, The current research aims to identify:- 1. Measuring social isolation among middle school students. 2. Indicating the difference in social isolation among middle school students, according to the variable of gender.
The community of the current research are middle school students in the education Directorate of Al- Karkh / Third in the governorate of Baghdad for the year 2014/2015, and the research sample to extract the psychometric properties of the paragraphs of the scale was (400) students evenly distributed on the variable of gender (male, female), and the sample of final application was ( 200) students evenly distributed on the variable of gender.
The researcher adopted the social isolation Scale of the researcher (Abdullah Ali Alroajvah: 2004) and it consists of (116) items the researcher reached the following results:- 1. Search Results showed that the level of social isolation within the sample was low.
- There is no statistically significant difference between the male and female students of the middle stage in social isolation.
