Abstract

The study is a serious attempt at finding the opinion of the Muslim jurisprudents in the favor of martyrdom for the sake of Allah. It states the meaning of martyrdom through going back to the books of interpretation and the hadiths of the prophet (peace be upon him) in addition stating the meaning of wear out in language and in the jurist terminology. The study indicated that the worn out according to the opinions should be shrouded and washed and buried and prayed upon just like other Muslims not like marry and is not called a martyr like the other martyr who died in the battle, he is a martyr of the life only.
