يهدف هذا البحث إلى قراءة بنية السؤال في شعر البردوني، وذلك لأن السؤال يشكّل ظاهرة رئيسة تتمظهر في صيغ وتشكلات موضوعية وفنية يتضمنها الشعر، الذي يشكل في حد ذاته سؤالاً كبيراً يبحث في تفسير العالم، والوقوف على أسرار الحياة والوطن والتاريخ والكون بكل تفاصيله. خلص البحث إلى النتائج الآتية: إن السؤال في شعر البردوني ظاهرة موضوعية يتم عبرها تأليف الوطن وتشكيله شعرياً، وتعرية الواقع بهدف اصلاحه وتنقيته من الذبول، واستعادة التاريخ للاستفادة منه وتقييم الحياة والذات حتى صار معادلاً موضوعيا لهما طموحاً وانكساراً. كما السؤال في شعر البردوني يمثل تحولاً فنياً ناضجاً، حيث استطاع من خلاله أن ينقل القصيدة من صوتها الذاتي الغنائي إلى أصوات متعددة وأبعاد أكثر موضوعية.
