The Extent to which the Students of the History Department at Colleges of Education are aware of the Current and Contemporary Issues

The study aims to know the extent to which the students of the history department in the Colleges of education for current events and contemporary issues the sample of research was made up of (173) students in the Faculty of Education Department of History at University of Mustansiriyah The number of females (100) students and the number of males (73) students, and a form containing Current events and contemporary issues, which contained (4) Key skills and (34) sub-skills that were agreed upon by the experts, then applied the form on the study sample, students section history Phase III University Mustansiriyah and used the researcher the appropriate statistical means of Kai Square, and labs Pearson link, weighted mean equation and percentile weight. The results found that the knowledge of the history section's students of current events and contemporary issues was below the acceptable level with a slight difference in favour of females, the most important recommendations are the opening of teaching courses to develop and train teaching staff in the use of methods General teaching and the current style of events on the teachers of history in particular.
