The feasibility of applying electronic management in university libraries: A case study of the central library of the University of Technology

The objective of the research is to determine the extent to which the staff at the university's library know the concept of electronic management and its ability to deal with information technology in providing services to beneficiaries and to identify the attitudes of employees according to administrative levels towards the application of electronic administration and to identify the factors limiting the trends. The extent to which electronic administration is applied in the university library and the identification of obstacles to its application. The research reached a number of conclusions, including :-
أ-The library administration does not have all the material and technical requirements for the application of electronic administration, because it does not suit its requirements with the actual reality of the library.
2 - The staffing believes that the application of electronic administration does not help to achieve speed in delivering instructions to them.
The most important proposals that were put in the research were as follows:-
أ-The necessity of providing all the material and technical requirements for the application of electronic management because of its positive impact on the performance of the library and the services it provides to beneficiaries.
2-Increasing the awareness of the job owners about the importance of implementing the electronic administration through its participation in workshops, seminars and training courses that show their importance in improving performance and increasing efficiency.
