Use of hypertext catalogue in Thesis and Dissertation: Library of the Faculty of Arts at Al - Mustansiriya University - a model.

Abstract

    This study aims to applicants  hypertext ,( hypertext  which includes : icons ,Words , site address ..) allows us to move from text to another, or from site to another that hypertext net ) on traditional catalogue  for the library of the Faculty of Arts. After saving the data of university thesis in computer, and because this type of system is able to provide links in a manner easy to be used. It has been selected a set of thesis stored on disks, and after entering their data on Winisis system ,then converted them to Genisis system for its good specifications ,and  the important  most results are:

1 - This catalogue is characterized as easily brows recordings and usage.

2 - Easy access to the substantive content of the thesis and any additional information required.

3 –Those who are inexperienced can use this catalogue because the research style is simple.

The most important recommendations could be applied to the rest of cultural materials, and most of libraries.
