Abstract

The current study investigates the origins of Arabic sentence structure from the Modernist perspective. This study contributes to the literature of old syntax lesson because it presents an overall picture of sentence structure and clarifies its pragmatics. Furthermore, the current study documents the 1920s scientific efforts of Iraqi and other scholars.
