Abstract

Water is of great importance to human life, as no human society can live without it, whereas the first human gatherings were established on the banks of rivers, In fact, all the great civilizations that were established throughout history had water and the presence of rivers as a main reason for their establishment, Its importance comes because it is used for industrial and agricultural purposes as well as domestic use. Most Arab countries suffer from a scarcity of renewable water annually, In 2006, the number of Arab countries that fall below the global water poverty line, which the United Nations has set at less than one thousand cubic meters per year per person, reached (19) countries.

الملخص

إنََّ للماء أهمية كبيرة في حياة الإنسان، فلا يمكن لأي مجتمع بشري أن يعيش بدونه، إذ قامت المجتمعات البشرية الأولى على ضفاف الأنهار، وكل الحضارات العظيمة التي قامت عبر التاريخ كانت قائمة على الماء ووجود الأنهار. وتأتي أهميته من كونه يستخدم للأغراض الصناعية والزراعية، فض ا لًا عن الاستخدام المنزلي. وتعاني أغلب الدول العربية من ندرة المياه المتجددة سنويا، ففي عام 2006 بلغ عدد الدول العربية التي تقع تحت خط الفقر المائي العالمي، والذي حددته الأمم المتحدة بأقل من ألف متر مكعب سنويا للفرد ) 19 ( دولة.
